This is a string orchestra (Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass) characterised by its youthful exuberance and the sheer joy of performing in public. Sectional tutors help the players in matters of technique and ensemble, and the whole course is geared to producing a quality string sound that is organised to the very last detail. Recent repertoire includes: English Suite - Paul Lewis Norwich Suite - John Gibbs Two pieces from Henry V - Walton St Paul’s Suite - Holst. Capriol Suite - Warlock Divertimento in D - Mozart Standard required: Grade 5 upwards
